Music Program
Band Information
Band: Lessons are offered on flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and percussion
Band rehearsals are once a week. The ensemble performs at various locations throughout the year, including an end of the year recital at the school.
Classroom Music:
Grades PK /K : classes are learning the names of rhythm instruments and how to use them. They are learning different rhythms with counting. We have begun singing songs for our concert as well as :? fun and familiar tunes?
Grades 1/2 : we have begun singing through fun songs as well as songs for our concert. We will be begin to learn note values, and use instruments to count & play rhythms as we learn the notes.
Grades 3 ? 5: We are beginning to learn to sing in groups using harmonies, as well as rounds. We are working on some concert songs using 2 part harmony.
Middle School: More advanced work on 2 part harmony as well as rhythm work applied to concert songs. We are working on a song that will highlight this group. The Middle School has begun making plans to sing at the Greenfield Senior Center as well as Farren Care around the holidays. Watch for more info!!!
